“Clench your jaw!”

This was super random — out of the blue I got a call from Canadian brand MPG (Mondetta Performance Gear) asking if I’d model their sportswear in an upcoming Spring/Summer campaign. The MPG Messengers are “real people” who are both active and are doing something unique — in my case, I was representing bike commuters. Since I was doing a web series about riding bikes, and had recently sold my car to go car-free in Los Angeles, it seemed a natural fit.

We did the photo/video shoot in Seattle, and I learned some quality modeling tips like “clench your jaw” (to add the right element of Blue Steel) and “inhale” (to distract from the effects of my love for donuts). Thanks to MPG Brand Manager Tony Lavilla, and to photographer Marc Von Borstel for the experience.
